It is essential to work together to provide a loving, nurturing, and healthy environment for our children at school as well as at home. This is what parents are saying about Eton.

My child's teacher is a warm and caring person who sees the individual needs my child has. The conferences answered my questions and concerns. I was thrilled with the detailed end of year report. It gave me a clear look at my child's accomplishments.
My child's language ability has greatly increased. She talks about her teachers and friends and comes home singing songs from the day.
Through the Parent Workshops I have learned so much about the Montessori Method. I see my child's needs being met by the areas she spends time in. The teachers are always encouraging her but respecting the choices that she makes in her day.
The classroom is an active place with so many areas to stimulate the students. I feel really good about a multi-aged class that encourages patience with younger students and modeling from the older ones.

Casper has developed a lot this year, his first year at Eton. Before he started, he only spoke Swedish and Chinese, but now he has mastered English as well!! His teacher has had a tough year teaching Casper to share, listen, and use his walking feet, but I think he has developed a lot. I like the learning technique of trial and error, because we all need to make our own mistakes to understand how things work.

We have been very happy with Elizabeth's progress this year. Especially socially, which was a goal that we had for her, as she was a bit of a loner. She has really blossomed in the Montessori environment where the order and rules have made a nice environment for her temperament and she has been able to develop at her own pace.Elizabeth has learned some Chinese and has learned her letters and their sounds. She is now able to write her own name, cut with scissors, and handle a crayon or pencil with more control. She is also more
independent as a result of the Montessori Method. She picks up her dishes and puts them in the sink and wipes up her own spills without being asked.
We have been very pleased with the program on the whole and hope that she will grow as much in her 2nd year there.

My son started to attend the nursery class when he was only 20 months old. He enjoys school everyday and comes home really exhausted. I think he has learned a lot, like how to peel a cucumber, clean windows, and wash clothes. He particularly likes the songs that his teacher taught him and always dances along when I play the CD at home.
I believe that sending him to school earlier will benefit him for the rest of his life .

One of the special things about Montessori teaching is to enhance awareness in children about the people and the world around them. They learn to treat themselves, others, and the environment with respect.

My child's teacher and her assistants are wonderful¡ªthey not only teach the kids to be independent and caring people but have also given us many answers and suggestions regarding parenting. You know, those issues, or "headaches," that many parents often face.
Namisa loves her school and we do, too.

We moved here to Beijing in September and Peyton started the Montessori program at Eton. I went to Montessori 40 years ago (yikes) and I loved it. I have very happy memories about going to school and wanted Peyton to enjoy it, too.

He enjoys every minute of it. He literally runs to the door and down the hallway to get to his class. If we are early, he turns the other way and goes directly to the library to read before class begins. He repeats all the children's names in his class and he sings his little heart out when at home. Sometimes in Chinese.

Over Winter break, he would cry and put his backpack on to go to school. It broke my heart to tell him that school was closed for break. Even on Saturday he tries to "go to school".

He has met a lot of wonderful people at Eton. He loves his teacher, Miss Kiri, who is very talented and VERY patient..I know this after spending a class with them!
ha. He has also met his future wife..Mia, who is from Germany. They are wonderful friends and spend a lot of time together both in class and on play dates.

Eton has certainly opened his eyes to all kinds of possibilities..he loves it and is very happy here.

Thanks!

Lisa Walston

The Rajput Family
Dhruv was shy when we moved to Beijing from Hangzhou. Our biggest worry was Dhruv¡¯s schooling in Beijing. Since he started Eton, we have seen remarkable improvement in Dhruv¡¯s behavior. The Montessori program has taught him to be responsible, self-confident, independent and polite. We as parents, always make it a point to be patient, tolerant, loving, and caring as he is full of curiosity and questions. We are glad that our son is learning and developing in the friendly Eton environment.
