| Overview |

| Kindergarten is an important time for your child, since it is the entry point of his/her academic life. You want to make the right choice from the many kindergarten programs available, and for Etonkids, we want to give you comprehensive information in order for you to make an informed decision. It is important that your child learns how to socialize with other children, and that the friendships he/she establishes are grounded in positive academic experiences.
Choosing the right kindergarten program for your child can seem like an overwhelming task. To help make it easier, Etonkids has prepared a simple 3-point checklist of main points to look for.
1. Make sure that the teachers are credentialed
Credentialing programs teach future teachers the best ways that young students learn and about the unique phases and experiences in a child’s development. It is essential that your child’s teacher has proper training in order to address the unique academic and social needs of your child during this special stage in his/her life.
2. Find out if the school you are considering is an accredited one
Accreditation means that the school is held to certain standards determined by a recognized external body. Accreditation will determine whether the children in the kindergarten program are exposed to a proper curriculum and the standards the school holds for teachers and faculty. Accreditation standards vary from program to program, therefore it is important that you research your options.
3. Make sure that the school provides a secure and motivating environment
You want your child to be enrolled in a kindergarten program that makes learning exciting and where you feel safe dropping him/her off every day.
