Teachers from Tsinghua demonstrated amazing aspects of chemistry and physics that sparked students’ interest in the natural sciences. Some of the wonderful demonstrations included cartoon characters ‘magically’ appearing on white paper through chemical reactions, creating thunder with chemistry and physics, and volcanic eruptions. The teachers gave wonderful explanations on the science behind the ‘wonders’ did a great job of sparking curiosity and conversations among students, and between students and their parents on how all these ‘wonders” were accomplished.
