Vegetable Harvest at Central Park Campus

[Share] [Copy Url ] [Large  Middle  Small]

In our campus garden we have tomatoes, pumpkins, green peppers, sprouts, corn, cucumbers, and eggplant – all of which we have cared for and watched grow since spring. Now, under the careful guidance of our teachers, we are able to harvest our vegetable garden and enjoy the benefits of our labor.

Through planting our vegetable garden, the children are able to monitor and learn about the day-by-day growing process of different vegetables. We have kept careful records of the changes we witness and the progress of each vegetable, and we also discuss the process using important vocabulary. The garden offers us so much in terms of a fascinating way to interact with nature and themes for many lessons.
