Etonkids Beginnings is a program of specially designed early learning experiences for you and your child to enjoy together in the comfort of the Etonkids Montessori environment. Activities focus around key areas of your child’s development, including coordination, language, logic and order. Under the guidance of Etonkids’ early childhood experts, you experience precious moments of learning during class sessions as well as through songs and games to take home. And as you build ever new bonds with your child through Beginnings activities, you come to learn just how your child learns and how you can play an essential role in your child’s academic life. The prepared Beginnings environment features learning materials designed to be attractive and to engage your child’s natural curiosity. Through group activity and guided individual study, your child starts building confidence and the foundations for future achievement.
Birth to age 3 is a crucial time in your child’s development. During this period, your child is building muscles and motor skills, and is engaged in a non-stop process of absorbing and processing information vital to future development. Beginnings activities cater to your child’s absorbent young mind and desire to learn through movement; they engage both sides of the brain with naturally embedded lessons in independent judgment and linear sequencing.
Each Beginnings class session is different and presents a new opportunity for a joy-filled learning experience through games, music, dance, art, and “practical life” exercises. As we progress through different topics and learn more about our world intellectually, we also encounter lessons in communication, behavior & manners, respect for others and our environment.

English Fun and Games
We've covered a lot of different topics this term! We've had lots of fun playing games, coloring and singing songs. We've learned names of classroom objects, colors, numbers 1 to 20, names of parts of our bodies and clothes, people in our family, rooms and objects in our houses, farm animals, and feelings.
English Enrichment Group
During our Extra Curricular English class we have been looking into many different topics; the home, the classroom, animals, actions and our bodies. We are expanding our English vocabulary through games, songs and pictures. Every class begins with a circle time in order to bring us together as a class and to have fun while learning. Some of our favorite songs are: The Itsy-Bitsy Spider, The Colors Song and I’m Going to the Market to Buy Some Fruit.
Fun with English
This term, students learned new vocabulary and conversation skills through songs, games, art and dialogues. Students were taught the seasons and vocabulary associated with different weather conditions (cloudy, rainy, snowy, sunny, windy, etc.), the five senses and how things (feel, look, sound, smell and taste), states of well-being and words associated with seeing the doctor (toothache, doctor, nurse, medicine, etc.), and ways to keep healthy. Students learned the difference between hobbies and adventures and words associated with outer space (planets, aliens, shooting stars, etc.) and vocabulary associated with the Olympics (sports, competition, prize, etc.) Students had practice developing logical thinking skills, listening skills, and how to make predictions by using reference to literature studied in class.
