Montessori Curriculum

The Etonkids Difference: Interactive Montessori Learning

At Etonkids, our montessori curriculum evolves to reflect the latest in proven educational research. Based on the Montessori teaching method, our professional team does their utmost to offer the best program for our students emphasizing the fundamental skills (reading, writing, arithmetic and sciences) required for advanced learning along with our core values of creativity, character building, and cultural awareness.

Our core montessori curriculum is divided into areas of sensorial, language, mathematics, practical life, science, geography, music, art and physical education. In addition, our unique Chinese Studies Program emphasizes both academic and cultural understanding. The Etonkids age groups are 1-3 years old (the nursery community) and 3-6 years old (the Casa community).

Practical Life

Exercises in everyday living skills help to develop hand-eye and fine motor coordination, increase attention span, understand achieving objectives through set sequence, and gain a sense of “I can” independence. These are skills that are later transferred into writing and other higher pursuits. This is also the section of the classroom to which young ones are often drawn to first, due to their recognizing many of the objects on the shelves. As a child masters the Practical Life objects, he becomes confident in his abilities, and becomes eager to tackle the more demanding lessons he sees the older children doing—mathematics, language, sciences, geography and so on.
